Chile Wrap-Up

I woke up in Winter, and went to went to sleep in the middle of Summer.  Miami's sultry, sweaty, summer nights were turned all the way up.  Coincidently, B.E.D.'s air conditioning was broken Friday night, phew!  Additionally, my MacBook's logic board burnt out! Where is Fall?!?! On the brighter side of things...no named storms yet! Looking back, this last month was quite exciting, having spent the first half in Europe and the second half in Chile. Ohhhh Chile, yes, you were a handful. I officially am in love with Chile. This is not just because of the mariscos y vino. Here is the wrap-up: Day one, I landed in Santiago 6a, and made my way straight to the Red Bull Chile offices after a quick breakfast. We kicked off the week of events with a special meeting with the great team from Red Bull and distributors. Later that ...

Summer, Fall, Summer, Winter…

Berlin was great fun, and it was great to spend some time with my father there as well. Bread & Butter was full of exciting looks and directions. Summer was in full swing as Berlin was quite hot, and us Miami locals don't deal with heat to well without A/C! As I moved on to Cologne, it was clear that a German Summer only last a week, because the following weeks were cool and rainy again. I got to catch up with a few friends living in the wonderful city before heading to Frankfurt to rok out at Julian Smith's Dirty Disko party. It was big fun, yet I was back on the road directly after the party. This time I was heading back to the Cologne area for the German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring. It was an amazing weekend for Red Bull Racing. ...

Pan y Mantequilla…Yummy

I just arrived in Berlin, and it feels good to be back overseas so soon. The sun is out in Germany, as Summer has arrived. I think it's a first...more sun here than Miami, sans humidity. A busy few weeks await once again. Things are kicking off this week with Bread and Butter in here in Berlin...my father even made it, to check out some growth opportunites for Yaga.  The show is back in Berlin at the iconic Tempelhof Airport.  Barcelona was quite and event this past January, but I am sure Berlin won't disappoint. Next weekend I will be making my way back to Frankfurt for Dirty Disko at Walden with Julian Smith and company before rejoining the Red Bull team for some more fun at the German Grand Prix at the Nuerburgring. To wrap things up the following weekend I'll be rokin' out at Unltd. at ...

EROKNSOL [Edicao Posto 6]

Here is a mix that I recorded a month or so ago, but have yet to share. It is the next edition of my Roknsol mix series. This one is a special edition...all Brasilian beats, including, bossa, samba, mpb, breaks, and some classics. I think now is the perfect time, considering the are warm summer beach days ahead, and the Brasilian Film Festival will be in town next week. So, chill the caipirinhas, caipiroskas, and cerveja...lay back and turn up the mix. EROKMONACO GP [Live Mix]

26 days, 13 flights, 3 train rides, 2 Formula 1 Grand Prix races, 1 lost suitcase later, and of course a 1.5 hour delay on the runway in Chicago due to massive lighting storm...I can't help but feel a bit deflated. Such an electric last couple of weeks, and now back to sunny rainy Miami.Tomorrow definitely seems like a good day hit the beach, if the rain holds off. To rewind a bit, I plan on cooling out on the white sand to a set I recorded at the Red Bull Energy Station at last week's Moanco GP Saturday afternoon. Download and enjoy...keep in mind It was my first time ever playing on Pioneer CDJs, ouch, definitely not as fun! The Trip Continues

The trip continues...after no sleep in Barça, and a flight back to Frankfurt, I turned right back around, and headed straight to Zürich for the evening to rok out at Indochine. It was a super cool spot with a great crowd! I had a lot of fun, and appreciate the Miami support. Special thanks to Katch, Yven, and resident Ray Douglas for making it all happen. Check back for some images I will be posting soon.Tuesday afternoon, I was back to the airport again...this time the desitination was Nice, France. What an amazing atmosphere! As soon as I stepped off the plane I felt at home with the warm ocean breeze and palm trees. DJ Irie was just to the west at Cannes doing his thing for the film festival, and I was heading east to Monte Carlo. We have an amazing weekend planned at the GP. Fast ...

London

Monday I made it over to London after learning that one of my friends and co-workers from Miami, VJ DVDreams was going to be in town. Too keep it brief, we had a great time, met some new friends, experimented with some new technology (more on that in the future), and of course got to check out a little nightlife along with some tourist fun. We made it over to Jalouse, where One of the DJ Prince Charles, who was also at Amber Lounge, was jamming out.Side-note, how proper is it that I finally am checking DJ Spinbad's 90s Megamix, and midway through my writing I pass over time 10:07 of the mix. Whoa! Download and listen...you will hear what I mean.Next stop, Barcelona to rok out with DJ Katch at Lotus, and then on to Zürich to rok Indochine May 16th!

Gran Premio de Espana Wrap-Up

Day one, practice day, at the circuit was a bit slow, but didn't disappoint. Fast cars and high rev hospitality made for a wonderful afternoon under the Catalàn sun. A trip to the Red Bull garage was quite an experience. Check out the photos below. Saturday was just a hint of what Sunday had waiting. I made my way to the general admission hills to get a feel for true motorsport passion and emotion. The Spanish fans clearly out numbered the rest in favor of their fellow countryman, Fernando Alonso. Yet, a wide variety of flags blew throughout the cool breeze as air horns and cheers competed with the whine of the F1 cars. Saturday night I got a chance to check out Carpe Diem Lounge. I hold CDL responsible for sleeping in a bit, causing me to miss my ride. Thankfully I got a chance to take the train with the ...

Frankfurt, Paris, Barca…

Sooooo, where did I leave off? I think it was Friday night, and we were about to head to Cocoon Club to check out Richie Hawtin. Well, we did, but not without stopping to check out Julian Smith's party first. It was a nice little warm-up party...you can get his latest live mix here. As expected, Richie Hawtin blew the place up, and the club was still going strong as I grabbed some currywurst on the way out some time after 5a. By the way, when are we going to get a David's Cafe inside of a Miami club? As Saturday began to slowly get into motion, we made it to the Frankfurt game, and unfortunately the club didn't gain a new fan. Both teams, Frankfurt and Dortmund, played miserably, as Dortmund ended up on top 2-0. I think I might have to throw on a Hamburg ...
