My Home is in My Head

So, 25 kilos later, my new home for the next thirty-eight days has been organized. Abu Dhabi's heat, Germany's wet cold, and Switzerland's frosty alps are all on the schedule, so space and weight were precious. Thankfully, I live by the great Bob Marley's words, "My home is in my head". This will be quite important over the next month, as my physical mobile apartment will be in my luggage, and my mobile bedroom will be my hoodie sweater. Once again, follow me via twitter as my international megabytes are refreshed, and there will be plenty of excitement from Neidklub in Hamburg, Indochine in Zürich, APT in Frankfurt, and Red Bull Racing's F1 season ending party in the UK...plus plenty more!  So, after moving today it is time to get some rest on my air mattress.  This thing is like a Tempurpedic compared to the airlines ...

Back from Brasil

Well, well, well...seventeen days in South America, what a way to warm up for the European tour in November.  F1 Weekend in Sao Paulo, what more do you need?!?!   Ok, maybe you need another bottle of cachaça. After a three hour delay in Santiago, I finally arrived in Sao Paulo around two in the morning on Friday.  I rested up that evening and after a rainy day of practice, the Miami and NYC crew took over Pink Elephant as DJ Vitale shut the place down. Chovendo, chovendo, chovendo was the story of Saturday.  All of the rain led to the longest qualifying session in history, almost three hours.  Confident that Sunday would be a busy day, I decided to retire early, especially since I would lose the second hour in consecutive weeks as the clocks were springing forward once again. Sunday quickly awoke, and I caught a ride with friend and Force ...

Santiago to Sao Paulo

Once again, I had another great stay in Santiago.  This city is just full of so many activities!  Backcountry snowboarding via snowmobiles, boarding at Mall Sport's Wave House, and motocross with Chile's top rider, Jeremias Israel.  Make sure to follow "Jere on Tour"! Red Bull is always an amazing host, and they truly give your lifestyle wings.  I will be posting some videos, images, and maybe even some live mixes soon, so stay tuned.  I wish I could stay for Red Bull's Los Andes race next month, but I am off to Sao Paulo this evening for an awesome GP weekend with the Red Bull Racing Team at Interlagos.  Talk to you later...ciao Chile, oi Brasil!

Bless Up, Be Strong

A year ago today, a few life changing events occurred, however only one memory still seems too fresh. My hometown of Galveston Island, TX, was devastated by Hurricane Ike. However, one thing overpowers the struggle...all friends and family remained safe. My prayers go out to all those who were not as fortunate, and to all those who are still struggling to push forward with recovery. Bless up, be strong!

DJ Katch: Delorean Mix 2 [Summer 2009 Edition]

Awww yeaaaah!!! Another mix for you boys and girls! This time it's some love from overseas. That's right, my homie out of Frankfurt, DJ Katch, left a treat in my mailbox this morning. The second volume of Delorean is here, the "Summer 2009 Edition". Enjoy.

If you are following Miami's Heavy Hitter, now NYC transplant, Mr. Mauricio, you would have already downloaded his latest mix as he posts it every 30 minutes...haha.  If not, I thought I would pass on my good friend's mix live from 1Oak in NYC.  It is definitely worth checking out, and should hold some of you over til I get another one uploaded.  Enjoy!

Chile Wrap-Up

I woke up in Winter, and went to went to sleep in the middle of Summer.  Miami's sultry, sweaty, summer nights were turned all the way up.  Coincidently, B.E.D.'s air conditioning was broken Friday night, phew!  Additionally, my MacBook's logic board burnt out! Where is Fall?!?! On the brighter side of things...no named storms yet! Looking back, this last month was quite exciting, having spent the first half in Europe and the second half in Chile. Ohhhh Chile, yes, you were a handful. I officially am in love with Chile. This is not just because of the mariscos y vino. Here is the wrap-up: Day one, I landed in Santiago 6a, and made my way straight to the Red Bull Chile offices after a quick breakfast. We kicked off the week of events with a special meeting with the great team from Red Bull and distributors. Later that ...

Summer, Fall, Summer, Winter…

Berlin was great fun, and it was great to spend some time with my father there as well. Bread & Butter was full of exciting looks and directions. Summer was in full swing as Berlin was quite hot, and us Miami locals don't deal with heat to well without A/C! As I moved on to Cologne, it was clear that a German Summer only last a week, because the following weeks were cool and rainy again. I got to catch up with a few friends living in the wonderful city before heading to Frankfurt to rok out at Julian Smith's Dirty Disko party. It was big fun, yet I was back on the road directly after the party. This time I was heading back to the Cologne area for the German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring. It was an amazing weekend for Red Bull Racing. ...
